idsMED supports the global movement of World Physical Activity Day, also known as “Dia Mundial da Atividade Física” (DMAF). Every year since 2002, the World Day for Physical Activity has been celebrated every 6 April.

According to WHO, physically active people tend to reduce their risks of diseases such as coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, colon cancer, breast cancer, and depression. Unfortunately, many people around the world are becoming less active due to the pandemic. DMAF and the World Health Organization’s Global Action Plan on Physical Activity are two international initiatives that promote active and healthy lifestyles.

Let’s get people moving towards a more active lifestyle especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic!
