The Society for Vascular Ultrasound of Southeast Asia [SVU (SEA)] aims to advance education and research in vascular technology. Their mission is to uphold the highest professional standards by fostering discussion and collaboration within the field.

Vascular ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the circulatory system. This technology is crucial for evaluating the body’s blood vessels, identifying blockages in the arteries and veins and detecting blood clots.

On 19 October 2024, healthcare professionals specialising in vascular ultrasound gathered at the SingHealth Academia for The Arterial Workshop organised by the SVU (SEA). During this event, consultants, sonographers and vascular technologists from various hospitals delivered lectures on the latest advancements and assessments in vascular ultrasound imaging technology.

idsMED Singapore’s Imaging team supported the sonographers during the hands-on sessions, showcasing the effectiveness of this innovative technology.

Attendees gathered around the machines to get a clear view of the screens as sonographers demonstrated the vascular scans on a volunteer. The session was highly interactive, with sonographers sharing valuable insights as they discussed the case with the attendees.

idsMED Singapore is proud to have participated in this workshop, aligning with SVU’s vision to promote uniformity and standardisation of vascular technology guidelines through regional networking at regular meetings and conferences. We look forward to the next workshop!
