Rufi Susanto joined idsMED in 2013 following the acquisition of Fondaco Mitratama, the Indonesian healthcare distribution company he co-founded in 1996. His belief in the country’s significant healthcare market potential and his commitment to advancing standards of critical care have been instrumental in establishing idsMED as one of Indonesia’s leading medical distribution companies.
Rufi Susanto serves as Executive Director. In his Group Executive Director role, Rufi focuses on supporting the Group’s strategic growth by strengthening relationships with major principal partners and fostering new partnerships with principals from China and other markets. He also plays an important role in further developing idsMED’s core Specialty Care Areas (SCAs) across the region. Concurrently, he serves as President Director of idsMED Indonesia, where he continues to support the company’s growth in one of the Group’s most strategically important markets.
Rufi earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Leo University in Florida, USA. Since joining idsMED, he has played a pivotal role in the Group’s growth and strategic development, bringing decades of experience and deep market insight to support the company’s long-term expansion.
Shrikanth Sankar serves as Chief Operating Officer of IDS Medical Systems Group (idsMED). In this role, he supports the Group CEO in overseeing operations across all markets outside Indonesia. Concurrently, he serves as Country Managing Director of idsMED Singapore, where he continues to lead the Singapore business.
Shrikanth joined idsMED Group in 2020 to lead several strategic development initiatives across the organisation. With close to 30 years of experience spanning healthcare, private equity, and industrial sectors, he has built much of his career in Indonesia and across ASEAN.
Before joining idsMED, Shrikanth was Chief Executive Officer of Omni Hospitals Group in Jakarta, a portfolio company of Sorac Capital Partners, where he also served concurrently as Group Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, he oversaw the completion of two greenfield hospital projects and played a key role in securing significant funding to support the hospital group’s expansion.
Before Sorac Capital Partners, Shrikanth held several senior finance and investment leadership positions. As Vice President, Finance for the Coal Infrastructure Business at PT Mitratama Perkasa, he led initiatives in mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, corporate finance, and treasury management. Earlier, as Head of Indonesian Operations and Director of Corporate Finance at Ludlow Capital, he partnered with portfolio companies to drive operational turnaround, growth, and exit readiness.
Shrikanth is a Chartered Accountant in India and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Bombay.
Gavin comes with over 30 years experience and a solid track record in IT and Digital Technology. He has a wide array of experiences working in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Africa and the UK. Before joining idsMED, Gavin worked as an independent consultant in the UK, specializing in digital solutions for border control management as well as healthcare. He started his career in Malaysia with the UEM Group where he stayed for 16 years, during which time he gained exposure in healthcare, infrastructure and ICT industries. After leaving UEM in 2010, Gavin had several stints with companies in the national security industry including Border Control Solutions (UK) Ltd., where he was CTO.
Gavin holds a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Computer Science from University of Westminster, London, an MSC in Business Process Analysis and Design with City University, London, and received his PhD in Healthcare Management Northumbria University, Kent.
Ata serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications at IDS Medical Systems Group (idsMED). In this role, he leads the Group Marketing Communications function, overseeing branding, content, communications channels, corporate communications, and event management to strengthen idsMED’s brand presence and stakeholder engagement across the region. Concurrently, he serves as Chief Operating Officer of idsMED Indonesia, where he supports operational excellence and the company’s continued business growth.
Ata began his career with PwC Singapore before joining Philips Healthcare, where he held a range of business development, commercial, and customer financing roles across Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. He joined idsMED in 2015.
Ata holds a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he was awarded the Association of Banks in Singapore Gold Medal in 2012. He also earned a Bachelor of E-Commerce (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and completed an executive leadership programme at Harvard University.
