idsMED Taiwan Installs Steelco Steam Sterilisers at Ministry of Health and Welfare Taipei Hospital

idsMED Taiwan secures the bid to implement Steelco Steam Sterilisers at the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taipei Hospital, bolstering their sterilisation capabilities and ensuring top-tier patient care and safety. The tender secured on 8 February 2023 is expected to complete the acceptance process by 30 June 2023.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare Taipei Hospital announced the successful implementation of the Steelco Steam Sterilisers model VS3/1 awarded to the successful bidder, idsMED Taiwan on 8 February 2023.

After winning the tender, idsMED Taiwan swiftly proceeded with the procurement process ensuring all the necessary steps taken, including the checklist completion, order placement, order confirmation, and coding were finalised by 13 February 2023. Following this, the equipment was manufactured and completed on 2 April 2023 and arrived in Taiwan on 8 May 2023.

On 10 May 2023, the delivery and handover of the equipment was made as scheduled at the Taipei Hospital and the installation and testing of the equipment took place from 20-21 May 2023 in the surgical area on the 3rd floor. Currently, the application for boiler inspection is underway to ensure compliance and safety.

idsMED Taiwan wishes to express its gratitude to the following individuals and teams who have contributed to the success of this project. Albert Yang and Hank Lin from the Infectious Disease Control (IDC) team, Owen Yen and Memphis Wang from BioMedical Engineering (BME), as well as Jane Ke, Queena Huang, Allan Yang, and Vick Liang from Operations (OPS) have demonstrated unwavering dedication and remarkable teamwork. Their collective efforts have played a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient completion of this project.

idsMED Taiwan is confident that the integration of the Steelco Steam Sterilisers will bring substantial improvements to the sterilisation capabilities of the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taipei Hospital in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The idsMED team anticipates the completion of the acceptance process before 30 June 2023.
