On 25 February, the Biodevices Department managed to present our products to one of the Department of Health’s first-choice hospitals for excellent quality healthcare, the Rizal Medical Centre. Given the ongoing pandemic, Mr. Navarette and his team presented online through our Virtual Room in the Head Office.

Fernando Joel Navarrete III, Mharjhee Yap-Regla and Domingo Gomez presented our products, specifically the AC3 Optimus™ Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and the LivaNova’s S5 H&L Machine to the doctors of the Rizal Medical Centre (RMC). Given that the RMC is planning to build a new Cardiovascular Operating Room, Mr. Navarette and his team took the initiative to invite all these doctors and fellows to the presentation. The attendees were Dr. Pio V. Purino Jr., Dr. Karyn P. Luna, Dr. Emmanuel C. San Pedro, Dr. Avenilo Jun Aventura Jr., Dr. Mark Lim, as well as the other Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (TCVS) fellows.

Most of the doctors showed interest in our equipment and the head of the TCVS even asked to test our machines for further evaluation, which indicates a high interest level in this product.

This achievement was indeed a notable feat for Mr. Navarette and his team. The Rizal Medical Centre is known to house several Thoracic and Cardiovascular doctors; they would greatly benefit from our equipment. The AC3 Optimus IABP will enable these doctors to focus more on the patient rather than the pump. The LivaNova’s S5 will save them a lot of time during routine maintenance.

Even though this is at the initial stage, it is still a great undertaking because the team managed to broaden our products’ reach and exposure.
