The Singapore Dental Association (SDA) is the professional association of dentists dedicated to serving both the public and the profession of dentistry. SDA promotes the profession by enhancing the integrity and ethics of dentists and strengthening the patient-dentist relationship.

In collaboration with the SDA, idsMED Singapore hosted an exclusive event for dental professionals in Singapore on 5 May 2025 at the idsMED Learning Academy. Themed “Infection Prevention Control: Reprocessing Medical Devices, Get it Right!”, the comprehensive dinner event saw close to 90 attendees streaming into the idsMED premises.

Dr. Christian Stempf, W&H Hygiene Advisor, who has close to 30 years of experience in the European dental industry, particularly in infection control and sterilisation, was the resource person for the event. Dr. Stempf shared his extensive knowledge and expertise on the latest advancements in infection prevention and reprocessing procedures.

Mr. Shrikanth Sankar, SVP & Managing Director of idsMED Singapore, gave a warm welcoming speech to kick off the event.

Dr. Stempf launched right into the topic of infection prevention and reprocessing dental instruments. His lecture covered the various risks in dentistry as well as the types of reprocessing phases, from pre-disinfection to storage.

Apart from the lecture, there were also opportunities for attendees to enquire about the sterilisers and medical consumables displayed. Ms. Berlyn Lam, Manager – Dental and Ms. Eileen Lim, Senior Manager – Imaging, attended to the enquiries during the event.

It was an absolute pleasure to reconnect with W&H and dental professionals through this event. Special thanks to the DIT and Marcom teams for their help in making this initiative a success!
