Organised by NTUC Health, the NTUC Health Infection Prevention and Control Awareness Day 2026, held on 21 May 2026, brought together healthcare professionals, care staff, and industry partners such as idsMED Singapore to reinforce safer care practices through expert-led sharing sessions, educational activities, and interactive exhibits.

At the event, idsMED Singapore showcased a range of infection prevention and control solutions, including Actichlor Plus surface disinfectants and Ansell hand rub products. These solutions support healthcare facilities in maintaining high standards of environmental and hand hygiene, helping to reduce the risk of cross-contamination and healthcare-associated infections while promoting a safer environment for both patients and healthcare workers.

Attendees also participated in an interactive game designed to enhance their understanding of European Norm (EN) standards for disinfection. The activity provided a practical and engaging guide to selecting appropriate disinfection standards for different applications, reinforcing the importance of evidence-based infection control practices.

Event highlights included an opening address by Dr Hamid Razak, Guest of Honour and Member of Parliament, a guest presentation by Dr Margaret Soon from the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), and a token of appreciation ceremony recognising the contributions of partners towards advancing infection prevention and control efforts.
Through its participation, idsMED Singapore reaffirmed its commitment to supporting healthcare providers with innovative infection prevention and control solutions that enhance patient and healthcare worker safety, strengthen clinical best practices, and contribute to safer healthcare environments across the continuum of care.
