August 2026 has been a busy month for GE Voluson in Thailand, with the Women’s Healthcare (WHC) team supporting six key events focused on ultrasound technology and women’s healthcare:
- 5 August: Prince of Songkla University Hospital (PSU) – Beyond Imaging: AI and 3D Ultrasound in Women’s Healthcare, presented by Assoc. Prof. Manaphat Suksai, M.D.
- 6–7 August: Buddhachinaraj Fetal Echo
- 7–9 August: Thai Gynecologic Cancer Society Meeting
- 13–14 August: Rajavithi – Elevating OB&GYN Ultrasound
- 13–14 August: Ramathibodi Multidisciplinary Fetal Medicine Conference
- 27–28 August: Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Workshop – C-Section Scar
Behind these activities is Nan Sitthinee Kanking, who took on the GE Voluson Product Manager role earlier this year. “I alone cannot do this,” Nan said, recognising the collective effort behind the team’s achievements.
Supporting her throughout the month were members of the WHC team: Wanida Klayaon (Ni), Sunisa Thanathibodee (Ae), Thitabhorn Taewajindaphun (Bow), Piyachat Naicharoen (Medsai) and Cholticha Niambunjuea (Ying). Together, they helped keep the team moving forward — rowing the boat together and supporting one another along the way.
Taking on a New Challenge
Nan’s journey into the role began in March–April 2026, following the resignation of the GE Voluson Product Manager shortly after the MSC Director’s departure. Recognising the need for support, Nan stepped forward to take on the responsibility.
The transition from Sales Manager to Product Manager brought a new set of challenges. Having spent five years managing the Bangkok metropolitan sales team, Nan was familiar with driving sales and building customer relationships, but the product management role required her to develop a deeper understanding of product specifications, ordering processes and coordination with GE.
“I know it is not easy, but if I try hard enough, I will be able to lead the team,” she said.
Nan credits the support of idsMED Thailand’s various teams for helping her navigate the transition. The Inventory Management (IM), Sales Order Management (SOM) and Warehouse (WH) teams have provided valuable assistance with processes she was less familiar with.
She also expressed her appreciation to Ms Apirada Prucksakorn, Managing Director; Mr Paithoon Pureethip, Senior Managing Director; and Mr Boonchai Wisetbanchong, COO, for their trust and continued support.
Bringing a Sales Perspective to Product Management
For Nan, idsMED Thailand has been more than a workplace. After graduating, she initially struggled to find an employer willing to give her an opportunity. Mr Boonchai Wisetbanchong, then Director of Sales, gave her that opportunity — one she has carried forward throughout her career.
As a Sales Manager, Nan and her Bangkok team achieved sales revenue of approximately THB 600 million in both 2024 and 2025. Her experience in sales continues to shape her approach to the GE Voluson business.
GE Voluson has traditionally placed strong emphasis on KOL engagement and customer-centric activities, particularly within the private clinic segment. While continuing to serve the premium market, Nan also sees opportunities to strengthen the brand’s presence in the mid- to lower-market segments.
For her, this is where her sales instincts come into play: identifying opportunities, reaching more customers and finding ways to grow the business.
Moving Forward, Together
The six events taking place throughout August demonstrate the scale of collaboration required to support the GE Voluson business. From clinical conferences and workshops to customer engagement activities, the WHC team continues to work together to strengthen relationships and create new opportunities.
Nan is clear that the progress would not be possible through individual effort alone.
“My gratitude goes to everyone who supports the company and my team.”
For Nan and the WHC team, the journey continues — One event leads to many customers and many opportunities from many prospects who will love our GE Voluson for its performance. And, much like rowing a boat, moving forward depends on everyone rowing together.
