The 2026 SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands campaign theme, "Action Saves Lives", underscores the critical role of hand hygiene in preventing infections and protecting both patients and healthcare workers.

In support of this global initiative, idsMED Singapore participated in hand hygiene awareness activities held across hospitals in Singapore from 4 to 22 May 2026, in conjunction with World Hand Hygiene Day on 5 May.

Observed annually on 5 May for the past 18 years, World Hand Hygiene Day encourages healthcare institutions worldwide to strengthen hand hygiene and infection prevention efforts. Through these activities, idsMED Singapore engaged healthcare professionals and members of the public, raising awareness of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices and sharing solutions that support effective hand hygiene in line with guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Visitors to the idsMED booth had the opportunity to explore a range of infection prevention and control solutions through hands-on product demonstrations and interactive activities. These engagements helped healthcare professionals enhance their understanding of effective hand hygiene practices and their role in preventing infections and improving patient safety.

Hospital staff also took part in an interactive educational game designed to strengthen their understanding of European Norm (EN) standards for disinfection. The activity provided a practical and engaging way to learn how to select the appropriate disinfection standard for different applications, reinforcing the importance of evidence-based infection control practices.
Live product demonstrations and hands-on experiences enabled participants to learn more about the effectiveness of various infection prevention solutions. These face-to-face interactions also provided valuable opportunities for meaningful exchanges with healthcare professionals, allowing the idsMED team to share insights and showcase solutions that support safer healthcare environments.

The success of these engagements was made possible through the dedication and commitment of Team idsMED Singapore.
