Almost a month ago, on 14 October 2017, around 30 cyclists from the Indonesian Health Community (KOSEINDO) participated in the “IndoHCF-KOSEINDO Tour De’Sabang-Jakarta 3000K Indonesia Sehat”. They started their tour from KM0 in Sabang, Aceh and rode through a 3000 Km journey, headed towards the capital city, Jakarta – all in support of the “Indonesia Sehat” (Healthy Indonesia) Program initiated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

On Sunday, 12 November 2017, the 30 cyclists have finally arrived in Jakarta – just in time to celebrate the National Health Day. Greeted by Nila Farid Moeloek, The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, and around 10,000 people from the ministry of health, healthcare institutions and organizations, educational institutions, and public in general, the 30 cyclists reached the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout at exactly 8AM.

The IndoHCF-KOSEINDO Tour De’Sabang 3000K was a collaborative effort between Indonesia Healthcare Forum (IndoHCF), KOSEINDO and various stakeholders in the healthcare industry, including the Ministry of Health, The National Coordinating Agency of Planned Family (BKKBN), The Indonesian Army Health Agency, local hospitals and regulators which aimed to promote healthy living and lifestyle through bike-riding while introducing the cultural diversity of the local communities and the abundance of natural resources that Indonesia has from Sabang to Jakarta.  The 30 cyclists visited community health centers and local hospitals during their journey which consisted of 3 group stages (Sabang-Tebing Tinggi-Jambi-Jakarta) and handed out health promotion materials and packages to support the local health programs.

IndoHCF, the main sponsor of the event, is an independent non-profit organization fully supported by idsMED Indonesia with an aim to facilitate healthcare education and collaboration among stakeholders in the healthcare industry in Indonesia.

KOSEINDO was formed in December 2014 as a fun and engaging platform for healthcare stakeholders as well as public in general to educate and promote healthy living and lifestyle. The club currently has 1,1125 registered member across Indonesia, including Jakarta, Cirebon, Palembang, Surabaya and Bandung.
