Breaking Ground in Healthcare Innovation: GE Healthcare’s CARESCAPE Canvas Patient Monitor

On 22 September 2023, idsMED Singapore had the privilege of being invited to support GE HealthCare’s dinner and symposium which took place at the Sheraton Tower Hotel. The event revolved around the theme "Everchanging Healthcare Landscape" and brought together over 50 key stakeholders from the Major Operating Theatre field.

This event was a collaborative effort, led by Helen Thia from GE, supported by her team members, and in close coordination with the idsMED Singapore team. The symposium aimed to provide insights into the evolving healthcare industry landscape, and the latest developments in Anaesthetic Gas Management for environmental preservation.

The night began with an extravagant welcome from Jeyul Chang, Zone General Manager of GE who introduced GE’s latest product – the CARESCAPE Canvas patient monitor. This monitor holds significant importance in the medical field due to its numerous advantages over previous models, including a 25% reduction in energy consumption, compact design resulting in reduced packaging material, and enhanced precision in patient care. These improvements ultimately raise the overall quality of patient treatment.

Shrikanth Sankar, Managing Director and Senior Vice President of idsMED Singapore played a key role in unveiling the Canvas patient monitor alongside Jeyul Chang, Benjamin Edwards (Patient Monitoring and Cardiology Ecosystems Leader), and Risto Rossi (Medical Device Business Leader) from GE.

idsMED Singapore also played a vital part in facilitating the showcase of GE’s CARESCAPE Canvas patient monitor. Shrikanth Sankar, along with Sally Ng and James Wong from the Principal Consulting Partner team, and the members of the Medical Specialty Care and Field Sales Specialist teams, demonstrated remarkable dedication and effort in engaging key stakeholders with GE’s product.

This symposium proved to be highly beneficial for medical professionals, enabling them to stay updated on new technologies and innovative solutions. Additionally, this event contributed to strengthening idsMED Singapore’s relationship with GE and key stakeholders within the Major Operating Theatre field in Singapore.
