Supporting Better Outcomes for Vulnerable Newborns

From 30 April to 3 May 2026, the Indonesian Pediatric Society (IDAI) South Kalimantan Branch held the 10th Annual Neonatology Update in Banjarmasin. The event gathered around 500 healthcare professionals to discuss early intervention and developmental care for vulnerable newborns. idsMED participated in workshops and exhibitions, showcasing innovative neonatal healthcare solutions to support improved patient care.

The Indonesian Pediatric Society (IDAI) South Kalimantan Branch, in collaboration with the Neonatology Working Unit of the Indonesian Pediatric Society, successfully held the 10th Annual Neonatology Update from 30 April to 3 May 2026 in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

Held under the theme, “Nurturing Future: Early Intervention and Developmental Care of Small Vulnerable Newborn”, the event provided a platform for healthcare professionals to enhance their knowledge, exchange insights, and strengthen their collective commitment to advancing neonatal care through early intervention, family-centred approaches, and the adoption of innovation in clinical practice.

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare advancement, idsMED actively participated in both the workshop sessions and the exhibition. During the event, idsMED showcased a range of healthcare solutions, including the Laerdal Manikin, Christie Veinviewer, Vygon Consumables, SIUI Apogee 1000, ASKI Phototherapy Airbilinest, Natus Hearing Screening, Natus OBM, SLE 6000, and Redax Drentech. These solutions attracted strong interest from participants for their relevance in supporting newborn and neonatal patient care.
The event brought together approximately 500 participants, including neonatologists, paediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals from across Indonesia. Strong engagement throughout the workshops and exhibition reflected the growing importance of continuous education and the adoption of innovative medical technologies in the field of neonatology.
Through continued collaboration, education, and technological innovation, idsMED remains committed to supporting improved standards of neonatal care and contributing to better outcomes for newborns requiring specialised treatment.
